AI can be a great tool for many things, including communications. However, just like any other tool, it can be disastrous and it must be used with a close eye on the results.
I wanted to see what the results would be if I asked AI to change my profile picture to show me celebrating New Years in Times Square.
The resulting image (after my review and making changes) is above.
Here's what I did…
Original image:

AI prompt: Transform the subject into a Japanese 1980s anime character with a retro-futuristic aesthetic at a new year's celebration for 2026 peaceful and happy in new york times square at midnight with a small snowfall
Fun!
Just like all corporate communications work, reviewing and editing a piece is a critical step for a successful outcome. After reviewing the image with a close eye, I made the following changes:
Reviewed all text very closely (and very close up). I kept most of it greeked except for one background sign, which I clipped in new text.
Cleaned up and smoothed out my profile image to make it a little more modest (I wasn’t comfortable with how pronounced my cleavage was in the original result)
Enhanced with a 50% burn to the lighting
If you’re interested in finding out how AI might help your communications, let me know! I’d love to share some ideas with you.
